Co-op welcomes new Systems Manager

We are happy to report that the Co-op has hired a new Systems Manager! Scott Leslie (see bio below) will start with us on August 19th. We feel Scott has an excellent and complementary skill set to help us move a number of initiatives forward, streamline our processes and build new solutions. In particular, we like Scott for his experience working with distributed clients/members on large-scale initiatives, and for being a recognized expert in distance technologies that connect communities. Please join us in welcoming Scott in late August.

Scott’s bio:

Scott is a technologist, researcher and open content/open network activist. Most recently he worked as the Manager of Client Services in Open Education for BCcampus, a province-wide post-secondary service agency in BC.

Prior to that he researched learning management systems, repository & eportfolio software as part of WCET Edutools info team and was the research coordinator for educational technology at the Centre for Curriculum, Transfer and Technology (C2T2). Scott was also the webmaster at both Mount Royal College and The Banff Centre for Continuing Education, and an
instructor for the PanCanadian EdTech Summer Institute. He holds a combined honors BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, and a MA in Critical and Cultural Theory from the University of Wales, College Cardiff.
